The UV set consists of a quartz-made protective tube which is closed at one end while the other one is placed into a stainless steel flange, a UV radiator, the distribution box with its electronic cut-in unit and the connecting cables.

The stainless steel-made flange has three boreholes by which it may be tightly screwed down (like for instance to the housing's walls). The function of the UV radiator being placed into the quartz-made protective tube may be safely controlled through the stainless steel-made flange's transparent hood.

Optionally, any type of plant are supplied with a lamp life monitoring. The UV-set is available for the following power range:
17 W, 36 W, 48 W und 90 W

On the 29th of August the Workshop took place at the non profit center Artefact in Glücksburg. Within the first part an introduction regarding principles and foundations of UV-technology was given by a member of PURION GmbH. Afterwards a UV-system was installed together with the delegation. The possibility of operation with solar power was demonstrated. Altogether the participants of the workshop were sensitised regarding possibilities of UV-technology within the field of water treatment.

Last but not least a UV test facility was donated by the PURION GmbH

On 27th of may 2010 the kickoff Meeting of the Cleantech-Initiative took place in Berlin, Ministry of the Interior of Germany. For enhancement of innovation and competitiveness the purpose of the Initiative is the encouragement of networking activities of corporates aciting within the Cleantech-Industry. Within his presentation Mr. Wipprich explained die position of PURION-products within the supply chain of the Cleantech-Industry. Moreover, he highlighted the importance of cooperation for the PURION GmbH.

Within the joint research project the UV disinfection via solar energy in rural areas have been tested successfully.

The UV-plant PURION 500 12V DC had been applied.

The PURION System has been operated successfully for two month within an Indian Village located in the Amazon area.

PURION GmbH expands product line again.
The new UV-units PURION 1000 PRO and PURION 2500 PRO are for disinfection of process water out of cooling circuits, cooling lubricant emulsions and air purification through water spray fog.

The power supply is carried out with 230 V/50 Hz or 110 V/60 Hz.

PURION 2500 H is engineered as a thin layer plant for singular pass. PURION 2501 H is engineered for circulation systems.

The Sensor System consists of a pre-alarm signalled by a yellow LED in case of a radiation irradiance smaller than 70% of the maximum irradiance. A red alert is signalled by a red LED in case of radiation dose smaller than 50% of the maximum dose.
In case of activated alert cleaning of the quartz pipe is recommended. Is the alert continued to exist replacement of the UV-lamp is necessary.
New calibration is necessary after lamps have been replaced.

CAUTION: In case of red alert, we cannot warrant the guaranteed disinfection performance of the UV-plants.

It is possible to reset the Electronic Monitoring System after lamps have been replaced.

CAUTION: If guaranteed service life is expired, we cannot warrant the guaranteed disinfection performance of the UV-plants.
